• The full Grand Tour set laid out in a stepped block of six rows on bright white, with terracotta-backed tiles stacked at the edge
  • A loose pile of Grand Tour tiles shown close up, faces, edges and terracotta backs all visible at once
  • All three numbered suits laid out one to nine — hot-air balloons, bamboo and paper lanterns, row by row
  • Close macro of the drawing — every hairline stroke readable across the face of the tile
  • The layered side edge in close-up — four bands of terracotta, white, olive and white running through every tile
  • The winds, the dragons and the flower tiles laid out in three tidy rows
  • A field of tiles face-down showing the warm terracotta backs, with a few stood on edge to show the layered sides
  • The Joker tiles side by side — the same hand-lettered nesting doll on every one
  • A hand setting a Grand Tour tile down onto the table beside a run of tiles already laid out
  • The set laid out on a white linen cloth on a sunlit country-club terrace
  • Tiles on a pale oak table in a bright sunroom, dappled leaf shadow falling across them
  • A game in progress seen from above, four players' hands reaching in from the edges of the table
  • A woman's hands turning a winning tile face-up on white linen
  • The complete 160-tile Grand Tour set laid out as a specification chart, grouped row by row
  • Grand Tour tiles scattered across rumpled white linen in low afternoon sun

Play On. Stay Sharp.

Every game keeps your mind sharp and your friends close. A share of each ALOXO order supports the Alzheimer's Association — care and research for the families who need it.

Every Tile, Colored by Hand.

You’ve seen what happens to printed tiles — the color fades, the design scratches off, and within a few seasons they look tired. Not these. Every tile is engraved into the acrylic and filled by hand, color by color. It costs more and takes longer — and it’s why your set still looks new after years of weekly play.

The Same Little Traveller on Every Joker

Most sets treat the Joker as an afterthought. This one gives you a character. All eight Jokers carry the same little nesting-doll figure, drawn in green and blue with JOKER lettered down the side in red — so she reads instantly from any seat at the table, and nobody has to lean in to work out whether the tile just drawn is wild.

The rest of the set reads like a scrapbook from a long trip. One suit floats hot-air balloons over city skylines you half recognise. One strings paper lanterns with rows of little flags. One runs bamboo in green and orange, and its 1 is a bird carrying an olive branch. The four winds are four women travelling — one watching the sea, one under a wide-brimmed hat. Every line is drawn by hand and laser-printed onto premium four-layer acrylic, so it stays crisp through years of shuffling instead of wearing off at the corners.

For the Woman Who…

You have the passport stamps and the photo albums, and the word departure still gives you a small lift. You have played on plenty of tables and seen the same three suits a thousand times. This is the set that gives you something to look at while you wait for your turn — a balloon over a city you have actually stood in, a lantern from a street you still remember, a little painted doll you bought once and never quite explained to anyone. It starts conversations, and it is yours, not something you are keeping nice for somebody else.

Treat yourself to the table you've earned.

Yes. A complete American Mahjong configuration with the 8 Jokers required by current NMJL play — authentic crak, dot, and bam coloring, ready for the current year’s card.

Solid and weighted enough to land with a proper click on felt. Each tile sits flat and slides smoothly. Not hollow plastic. The exact material is listed in The Specifications on this page.

Built into the tile, not printed on the surface — so the artwork doesn’t fade, scratch off, or wear thin. The Specifications section on this page describes exactly how this set’s artwork is made.

The full American Mahjong configuration with the Jokers current NMJL play calls for, plus spare tiles so a lost tile never ends your night. The exact tile count is listed in The Specifications on this page.
